![]() I still remember when I was a little girl thinking “I want one of those!” and if I am honest, I still do lol! Look out for a particularly funny scene involving a night gown! You really get to know the character’s, which adds an extra human element to the whole film.Īliens have been covered quite a lot in movies and come in all sorts of shapes and sizes but the little intergalactic visitors in this film really capture your heart. Together they make a feisty bunch of tenants and definitely a force to be reckoned with. Then finally we have the artist Mason who just can’t quite get the break he needs. Marisa is pregnant and waiting for her boyfriend to return. We then have Harry Noble, the ex-boxer, hardly says a word handyman who has more to him than meets the eye. This couple will have you laughing one minute and crying the next trying to cope with love, loss and confusion on behalf of Mrs Riley. We have Mr and Mrs Riley who run the building and have lived there most of their lives with their café on the bottom floor. This film represents a real feel good movie and I was very excited about watching it again and I wasn’t disappointed! ![]() I hadn’t watched “Batteries Not Included” for years, but it is one of those movies where I just have to hear its name and I get a big smile on my face. ![]() It is a film full of friendship, love and belief that anything is possible with characters that you are really rooting for who won’t go down without a fight. We follow this group of people as they go from despair to hope with a little help from some very special and unexpected alien friends (like little fairy godmothers) who change everyone’s lives including their own. In “Batteries Not Included”(1987) we meet a group of down on their luck tenants living in an old building that someone rich wants to knock down.
